Lead Brand Manager

Own how every client brand is perceived and communicated.

₦280,000–₦320,000/month
Full-timeHybridLekki, Lagos

About the role

The Lead Brand Manager is the most senior creative and strategic voice in the Content & Branding department. You own how every client brand is perceived, communicated, and grown. You also carry creative direction responsibilities, meaning you are the final word on how content looks, sounds, and feels before it goes live.

What you'll do

  • Lead all client onboarding sessions alongside other HODs; you set the tone from day one.
  • Conduct deep brand audits for every new client: tone of voice, personality, audience, messaging pillars, and visual identity.
  • Assign the right team members to each brand based on fit, capacity, and skill.
  • Hold full accountability for the health and perception of every brand under your team.
  • Carry creative direction responsibilities, after final approval from the HOD, of all content before it is published.
  • Mentor and manage Junior Brand Managers, reviewing their briefs and guiding their growth.
  • Build and maintain a strong working understanding of VARD Media's branding philosophy: branding equals perception.
  • Use AI tools strategically for research, brand analysis, and strategy development, not as a shortcut, but as a force multiplier.
  • Collaborate with Content Strategists to ensure all written output aligns with each brand's voice.
  • Be client-facing and confident; you must be able to independently close and retain clients.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of brand management, creative strategy, or brand consulting experience.
  • Strong portfolio of brand work across at least 3 industries.
  • Deep understanding of how brand perception is built through content.
  • Proficiency with AI tools for research and strategy (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you write briefs that people actually follow.
  • Client communication.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-output environments.
  • Ability to direct creatives (writers, designers, and on-camera talent).
  • Knowledge of Instagram and TikTok content trends is a strong advantage.

Who you are

You are the kind of person who sees a brand and immediately knows what is off. You do not wait to be told what to fix. You have standards, and you hold yourself and your team to them. You do not withhold your ideas, and you are relentless about quality. You treat VARD Media like it is yours, because it is. You deliver excellent work on or before the due time or date, and you do not cut corners. You have a team spirit and understand that the best work here gets made when every department is moving in sync, and you actively build that kind of environment. You lead with respect for your leads, your juniors, your colleagues, and the process because you know that a team that respects each other produces work that shows it.

Associate Brand Manager

Support brand managers in keeping every client on-brand.

₦230,000–₦270,000/month
Full-timeHybridLekki, Lagos

About the role

The Junior Brand Manager at VARD Media is not a coordinator role; you are a strategic contributor who owns specific client brands from the ground up. You think like a brand architect, understanding that every post, every caption, every piece of content either builds or breaks how a brand is perceived. This is a role for someone hungry to grow fast in a high-performance environment.

What you'll do

  • Own the brand management for assigned client brands; you are the first point of accountability.
  • Build and maintain brand documents: tone of voice guides, messaging pillars, content briefs.
  • Attend client onboarding sessions and lead the brand discovery process for your accounts.
  • Brief Content Strategists and Creative Directors clearly so that content is never off-brand.
  • Monitor brand consistency across all published content and flag and correct deviations quickly.
  • Report brand performance updates to the Lead Brand Manager weekly.
  • Research competitor brands and industry benchmarks for every client you manage.
  • Use AI tools to speed up research, draft brand frameworks, and analyse content performance.
  • Build strong client relationships; clients should feel their brand is in safe hands.

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years of experience in brand management, marketing, PR, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of how brands communicate on social media.
  • Ability to write clear, strategic briefs and brand documents.
  • Detail-oriented; you catch errors before they go live.
  • Responds well to feedback and willing to learn fast.
  • Comfortable using AI tools for research and content planning.
  • Knowledge of Instagram and TikTok is a plus.

Who you are

You are someone who takes ownership seriously. When a brand performs badly, you do not point fingers; you figure out what went wrong and fix it. You want to grow into a Lead Brand Manager, and you are willing to do the work to get there. That means meeting every deadline, delivering at a high standard every single time, and treating this role like it is your own business on the line because it is. You work well with others, and you understand that brand management does not happen in isolation; it happens in constant back-and-forth with writers, designers, directors, and clients. You show up for your team, and you treat every colleague with respect, regardless of their level or department.

Brand Designer

Build identity systems that work across every format.

₦230,000–₦270,000/month
Full-timeHybridLekki, Lagos

About the role

The Brand Designer at VARD Media is responsible for the visual identity of every brand in our portfolio, starting with VARD Media itself. You are not just a graphic designer who executes briefs. You are a visual strategist who builds complete design systems: logos, colour palettes, typography, and the rules that govern how a brand is seen across every platform and format.

What you'll do

  • Design and deliver complete brand identity systems for new clients: logo, colour palette, typography, and design guidelines.
  • Build a detailed design guide for each client that all departments must follow without exception.
  • Define VARD Media's own brand visual identity as your first major deliverable.
  • Produce graphic and carousel designs for both client social content and VARD Media in-house content.
  • Work closely with Content Creators and Motion Graphics Designers to ensure every piece of content is on-brand.
  • Maintain and update brand assets as clients evolve.
  • Provide visual direction on shoots when needed, and ensure the physical environment matches the brand identity.
  • Stay current on design trends without being enslaved to them. VARD Media output must feel original.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of brand design or visual identity experience.
  • Strong portfolio showing complete brand identity systems (not just individual graphics).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Figma.
  • Understanding of how design translates across digital platforms: Instagram, TikTok, websites.
  • Ability to build and document design systems that non-designers can follow.
  • Experience designing for Nigerian brands or an understanding of the Lagos market is a plus.
  • Confident in presenting and defending design decisions to clients and colleagues.

Who you are

You have a strong visual point of view, and you can articulate why every design choice was made. You do not produce generic work; you understand that a brand is not just a logo; it is a complete system of perception, and you are the person who builds that system. You treat every brief like it is your own project, not a task assigned to you. Deadlines are not suggestions to you; they are commitments, and you honour them. You work closely with writers, directors, and content creators, and you do that collaboration with respect and without ego. Great design at VARD Media is never made alone, and you are someone who genuinely thrives when the whole team is moving together.

Content Strategist

Write the scripts, captions, and copy that move audiences.

₦180,000–₦220,000/month
Full-timeHybridLekki, Lagos

About the role

At VARD Media, content strategy is not about posting calendars and hashtag lists. It is about understanding a brand well enough to write words that shift how people think, feel, and act. The Content Strategist is the department's primary writer, responsible for all scripted content, captions, carousel copy, and educational posts. You write for both VARD Media's own channels and for clients simultaneously. You do not write ad scripts; that is Media Buying territory. Your job is to create branded content that builds authority and drives organic growth.

What you'll do

  • Write scripts for all branded video content across client accounts and VARD Media's in-house channels.
  • Produce captions, carousel copy, and educational post copy that align with each brand's voice.
  • Transform trend research and insights from Creative Directors into usable, on-brand scripts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of each client's tone, audience, and messaging pillars.
  • Collaborate with Brand Managers to ensure all written output reflects the brand brief accurately.
  • Deliver scripts to Creative Directors on time, so shoot schedules are never delayed.
  • Write copy that serves a dual purpose: educational or entertaining on the surface, always persuasive underneath.
  • Develop and maintain a content bank for each brand so the team is never scrambling for ideas.
  • Use AI tools to increase output speed without compromising on voice or quality.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of content writing, copywriting, or social media content strategy experience.
  • Strong scriptwriting ability; you can write for video, not just for static posts.
  • Ability to adapt your writing voice across multiple brands without losing clarity.
  • Understanding of what makes content perform on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Experience writing educational and business content is a strong advantage.
  • AI tool proficiency for research, drafting, and ideation.
  • Fast turnaround without sacrificing quality: you can produce strong work under pressure.

Who you are

You read more than most people. You notice language everywhere- ads, conversations, and comments- and you mentally file it away. You have a way with words that does not feel forced. You write the way people think, not the way textbooks say you should. You take briefs seriously, and you ask smart questions before you start writing. You also understand that your words do not exist in a vacuum; they feed into shoots, social pages, and client relationships. That means you work in sync with your team, you deliver on time without being chased, and you hold yourself to a high standard because VARD Media's reputation is built on every word that leaves this department. You treat every colleague with respect, and you treat every deliverable like your name is on it because it is.

Creative Director / Social Media Manager

Direct the creative vision and own social performance.

₦180,000–₦220,000/month
Full-timeHybridLekki, Lagos

About the role

At VARD Media, the person who manages a brand's social media must also be the person who understands what content to create and how to direct it. You split your time between deep research (what is performing, what trends are emerging, and what formats the algorithm is rewarding) and execution (directing content creators on set or overall content direction, scheduling posts, and analyzing performance). You will be assigned to specific client brands and to VARD Media's own channels.

What you'll do

  • Spend dedicated time daily researching social media trends, competitor content, and platform algorithm behaviour on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Feed trend insights and content ideas to Content Strategists for scripting.
  • Direct content creators on set once scripts are complete, body language, framing, energy, and tone.
  • Manage the social media pages for assigned brands: scheduling, caption finalization, posting time optimisation.
  • Collaborate with Content Writers & Strategists on captions and copy for scheduled posts.
  • Produce weekly analytics reports: what content performed, what did not, engagement costs, growth metrics.
  • Use analytics findings to inform the next round of content strategy and close the loop.
  • Ensure every piece of published content is on-brand, on-trend, and aligned to performance goals.
  • Flag underperforming content early and propose adjustments before the month is out.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of social media management experience with a track record of growing accounts.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms- not theory, but real-world experience.
  • Comfortable directing people on camera; you can give clear, confident, creative direction.
  • Ability to read data and translate it into an actionable strategy.
  • Experience working across multiple brands simultaneously.
  • Strong written communication for captions and briefs.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, or similar) and analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of what content types Meta rewards with lower ad costs is a strong advantage.

Who you are

You spend time on social media that would make most people uncomfortable, but you are not mindlessly scrolling. You are studying. You know which sounds are trending before your clients do. You can watch a piece of content and immediately know why it worked or why it flopped. You are just as comfortable behind a camera giving direction as you are behind a screen reading data. Beyond the skill, you carry a mindset that fits VARD Media: you treat the work like it is yours, you deliver without being reminded, and you hold a high bar for everything that goes out under a brand you manage. You work in close collaboration with writers, brand managers, and editors, and you do that with respect for what each person brings. Nothing great gets made here by one person alone, and you already know that.

Content Creator (On-Camera Talent)

Be the face. Deliver scripted content with energy and range.

₦150,000–₦180,000/month (Part-time)
Part-timeHybridLekki, Lagos

About the role

Content Creators at VARD Media are not just people who are comfortable on camera. You are performers who can embody a brand's voice, personality, and message with precision and authenticity. You work from scripts produced by Content Strategists and directed by Creative Directors, but you bring the energy and delivery that makes content land. You will appear in content for business and corporate brands, as well as VARD Media's own in-house channels.

What you'll do

  • Deliver scripts on camera with accuracy, energy, and full brand alignment.
  • Study and internalize the voice and personality of each brand you represent.
  • Show up to all scheduled shoot days prepared; script internalized, energy ready.
  • Take direction from Creative Directors without resistance; iteration is part of the process.
  • Execute both verbal and non-verbal content: product demonstrations, scenario-based skits, and talking-head formats.
  • Participate in VARD Media in-house content shoots regularly.
  • Flag any confusion about a script or brand brief before the shoot.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct consistent with the brands you represent.
  • Bring ideas and energy to the set. This is a creative environment, and your input has value.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrable comfort and confidence on camera; prior video content experience required.
  • Ability to adapt your delivery style across different brand personalities.
  • Strong memorization and preparation habits; you do not waste shoot time.
  • Openness to feedback and direction without taking it personally.
  • Understanding of what good on-camera delivery looks like, pacing, eye contact, and energy.
  • You know how to look good on camera (outfit, hair, face, etc all on fleek).
  • Prior acting, hosting, brand ambassador, or content creation experience is an advantage.
  • A basic understanding of social media content formats is a plus.

Who you are

You are not shy, and you are not stiff. You understand that the camera either picks up authenticity or it exposes the lack of it. You take direction well because you know it makes the final product better. You are judged on two things here: the quality of your delivery and the actual performance of your content, and you are fine with that accountability. Beyond the camera, you show up as a team member. You respect the writers who script for you, the directors who guide you, and the editors who finish what you start. You treat every shoot like it is your own project on the line; you arrive prepared, you deliver on time, and you bring your best, not because someone is watching but because excellence is the standard you hold for yourself.
